Returnal is a roguelike third-person shooter game that’s set in a futuristic science-fiction setting. As you’re equipped with high-techweapons, your mission is to shoot your way through the story. You could play the game vanilla, of course—or you could get some mods to spice it up a bit. Below are some of the best mods we’ve tested for Returnal.

Top mods for Returnal

No Curses from Keys

If you’re picking up a malignant key, you’re probably going to get cursed after picking it up. This mod makes it so that once you pick up a malignant key, youdon’t end up getting cursed. It also removes the cleanse button.

No Fog

The fog that surrounds your field of vision adds a nice post-FX touch to the game but can also be annoying to some. If you’re the latter, like us, you may usethis mod to get rid of the fog. As a result, the game becomes much darker and more immersive.

Disable TAA and Chromatic Aberration

Disable TAA and Chromatic Aberrationgives you the ability to customize your settings yourself to make the game look sharper. If you’re not a fan of temporal antialiasing for whatever reason, for example, whether it be the effect it has on lighting in the game or, simply, the effect that chromatic aberration has on your game, you can just turn it off using this mod.

Free Shops

Suppose you are completely done with the grind and just want to buy the best possible loot for your journey to survive. TheFree Shops modmakes everything purchasable in the game completely, well, free, saving you the annoyance of having to save up for anything.

Jump while Dashing

There are plenty of games where you may perform a whole chain of commands without any issues to make it a bit more fast-paced than it already is. Jumping while dashing is a thing that was lacking in Returnal. However, with theJump while Dashing mod, you can now achieve the feat.

Shoot while Dashing

Shooting while dashing is one of the most fun combat mechanics in any third-person shooter game. Returnal, sadly, prevents this by performing a dashing animation, after which you can only shoot. This mod changes that andlets you shoot at the same time as you dash.
