Best Dinosaurs for gathering Berries
In general, large herbivore dinosaurs suck asBrontos,Trikes, andStegosare ideal for gathering large amounts of every type of berry in ASA. This makes sense, considering all of these dinosaurs are herbivores themselves. They’d know best how to gather their own food. I prefer using Trikes over all the others because they are the easiest to tame.
Best Dinosaurs for gathering Metals
Without a doubt, the armoredAnkylois the best dinosaur for harvesting large amounts of metal very quickly. A natural tank, they are also one of the better dinosaurs for storing metal due to the amount of weight they can inherently carry.

Best Dinosaurs for gathering Wood
While technically not a dinosaur,Giant Beaversare by far the best Wood gatherings you can find on The Island in ASA. While I have not yet seen one in ASA just yet, Mammoths also make amazing wood gathers due to their size. However, I’d just stick with the Beaver for now, as they are easy to tame.Brontosare also amazing at gathering Wood, but they are not easy to obtain, especially if you’re just starting out.
Best Dinosaursfor gathering Thatch
Realistically, the best dinosaur for gathering Thatch is the massiveBronto. However, they are not easy to tame, largely due to their size, so I recommend usingStegosfor the task until you can work your way up.
Best Dinosaurs for gathering Meat
Pretty much every large carnivore in ASA is efficient at gathering meat. If you’re early in the game, get your hands on aRaptor, as they are pretty much at the top of the food chain at the start. For the mid-game, look no further than theCarnofor your Meat grinding needs. Later on, the well-knownT-Rexis an amazing Meat harvester as they will pretty much annihilate anything else once properly leveled up.
