For Gale, I experimented with feats likeElemental Adapt,Mage Slayer,Ritual Caster,Spell Sniper,andWar Caster. With Elemental Adapt, you can turn Gale into an overpowered environmental wizard. I use spells like Witch Bolt, Lightning Bolt, and Chain Lightning to deal damage on opponents (all Evocation spells). Therefore, selecting Lightning Resistance for Elemental Adapt works perfectly for my build.
On the other hand,Spell Sniperallows you to learn an extra Cantrip. I recommend selectingEldritch Blast(Evocation Cantrip), as it is one of thebest Cantripsto use in Baldur’s Gate due to its massive damage potential.
War Caster and Ritual Caster are also brilliant feats to use for Gale as they make him versatile with movement and reactions.
