Hinox are large, one-eyed giants in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and if you’re unprepared to face them—like I was the first time I ran into one—you’re surely in for a bad time. You must defeat them for their drops if you want to upgrade certain armor, though. Here are all the Hinox locations in Hyrule in Zelda TotK.

While you can find some Hinox in theDepths, I find it easier to farm them inHyrulebecause not only are there more of them, but you can also see way better. Visibility is crucialwhen defeating Hinoxin Tears of the Kingdom because you need toshoot them in the eyeto stun them, meaning precision is key.

All Hinox Monster Part drops in TotK (Zelda Tears of the Kingdom)

Once you kill a Hinox, it will drop a selection of fruit, weapons, and Monster Parts. The Monster Parts are arguably the most crucial and why many players (including myself) want to farm Hinox in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to farm Hinox Toenails in Zelda TotK (Zelda Tears of the Kingdom)

Hinox Toenailsare important because they allow you toupgrade the Fierce Deity armor setin Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll need45 of them to upgradethe Fierce Deity Mask, Fierce Deity Armor, and Fierce Deity Boots once.

The best way tofarmHinox Toenails is byfollowing the route I’ve laid out on the map above. Hinox can drop multiple Toenails upon defeat, meaning if you follow my route, you should earn around 50 to 60 of them in one run. ToresetHinox spawns, simply wait for aBlood Moon.
