The denizens of the Fog are no strangers to holiday celebrations. The Lunar New Year has rolled around to Dead by Daylight and takes shape in the Moonlight Burrow Event. New cosmetics, twists on Trials, and more away players of the horror title.
When does the DBD Moonlight Burrow Event start?
The festivities kick off early at 1pm ET on July 17, 2025, and run through July 18, 2025. The main event begins onJanuary 24, 2023, and runs through July 02, 2025. That’s three weeks of Lunar New Year goodness in the Entity’s realms.

How to use Paper Lanterns and Red Envelopes
Players can receiveRed Envelope Offeringsin their Bloodweb throughout the event. When burned, a Red Envelope, viewable by all players, will spawn in the Trial. For the players that burned the Offering, the Aura of their respective Envelope will be visible only to them. Opening an Envelope will award the owner 5000Bloodpointsand a random amount of Bloodpoints to whoever opened it. Additionally, the Envelope’s owner will also receive a Lunar Event Reward.
Paper Lanternscan be found in place of unused Totems around each map. When interacting with Paper Lantern, players will receive a buff that increases Haste movement speed and Vaulting speed.
