Elden Ring has been out for a long time and most players have found the best builds among all the options. However, it can be fun to try new and exciting builds that aren’t necessarily the best but simply fun as a challenge or a new play style. Here are fourteen fun Elden Ring builds to try.
Bloodborne Hunter
The Bloodborne Hunter is for players that can’t get enough Bloodborne. The build wields the Grave Scythe with a Pulley Crossbow, allowing for a similar playstyle to Bloodborne’s highly aggressive sword and pistol playstyle.
God Of War
The God Of War makes an appearance in Elden Ring! This build uses dualMagma Blades, acting as the Blades of Chaos, and theHighland Axewith a Frostbite Ash of War for the Leviathan Axe.

Wolverine
The Wolverine is a beast incantations faith build. This build uses theHookclawsto simulate Wolverine claws, and Bestial incantations for vitality regen and damage.
The Archer
The Archer switches between a long-range and short-range bow for maximum effectiveness, while usingSerpent ArrowsandBloodbone arrowsto apply poison and bleed for extra damage.
Enchanted Knight
The Enchanted Knight uses spells for melee attacks, such asCarian Slicer,Carian Greatsword, Carian Piercer,andAdula’s Moonblade.Carian Glintstone Staffboosts Carian Sword Sorceries, increasing the overall damage.
Paladin
The Paladin is a defense-oriented faith build, focusing on guard countering attacks and using holy damage with theCoded Swordto finish off enemies.
Long Horn
A Faith build that uses theEnvoy’s Long Hornweapon to blow bubbles at enemies, which does a surprising amount of damage.
Reaper
The Reaper wields a Grave scythe and uses Death sorceries with the Prince of Death’s Staff to defeat enemies with style.
Starscourge
The Starscourge Build uses the uniqueStarscourge Greatsword. This greatsword can be two-handed to wield two with unique light and heavy attack combos. TheClaw TalismanandRaptor’s Black Featherswill further increase your damage when jump attacking.
Scavenger
This Arcane build dual-wieldsScavenger’s Curved Swords, and curved swords have the best chain L1 attacks to quickly apply blood loss buildup. You can also add Poison to the blades for both poison and blood loss buildup in one.
Frost Mage
The Frost Mage build plays similarly to the Moonveil Samurai, except using theDark Moon GreatswordAsh of WarMoonlight Greatsword. This skill will imbue your greatsword with frost and add a unique effect to your heavy attack (R2),which will throw a frost wave in front of you.
Cursed Blade
The Cursed blade is an arcane build that usesMorgott’s Cursed Swordwhile leaning into itsCursed-Blood SliceAsh Of War, which does bleed and fire damage to enemies.
Giant Crusher
This build used theGiant Crusher, which is the highest scaling Strength weapon in the game. It has a unique R2 that smashes enemies into the ground, then combines withBraggarts Roarto further increase damage (as well as change the R2 of the weapon again).
Sekiro
This build is themed after Wolf from Sekiro Shadow’s Die Twice. By two-handing theNagakiba,you can get great damage and poise damage withUnsheatheAsh Of War. As this build doesn’t use any magic, you can apply grease to your blade for additional status effects.
